The indie studio
Grimm Bros is more than delighted to have reached its funding goal for its upcoming title,
Dragon Fin Soup. In fact, that goal was completely blown away, as the team reached 500% of its target. The funds raised will therefore allow development of the game to be expanded with new features and additions, including a second playable character, an endless labyrinth mode, new weapons and new equipment.
"The Kickstarter campaign for Dragon Fin Soup took us on a genuine emotional roller coaster. Our initial expectations were swept aside by an extraordinary community of backers, who quickly helped us reach our funding goal—and even surpass it," says Ash Monif, CEO of Grimm Bros.
"We are thrilled that our concept has resonated with so many gamers, and we can't wait to share our vision in 2014."

Let's take a moment to talk about the game, which was (normally) scheduled for release in 2014 on PS3, PS4 and PSVita.
Dragon Fin Soup is a
rogue-like role-playing game combining dungeon exploration with turn-based combat. Its story draws inspiration from classic fairy tales, particularly
Little Red Riding Hood. However,
Grimm Bros puts its own spin on the tale and quickly moves away from Charles Perrault's original work. The kind and innocent little girl is replaced by Red Robin. An alcoholic who earns her living as a mercenary and bounty hunter, she finds herself confronted by her bloody past after losing her memory a year earlier.
