"How did we get here?" The Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Live Action Trailer provides answers
Square-Enix and Eidos-Montréal have unveiled the Live Action Trailer for the highly anticipated Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. This short film immerses viewers in the world of Deus Ex, offering a glimpse into how the world has evolved since the events of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and illustrating the transition between the golden age of augmentations and Mechanical Apartheid.
In 2027, mechanically augmented people around the world suffered extreme psychotic episodes, losing control of themselves and blindly attacking everyone around them. Millions died. Hundreds of thousands were injured and maimed. In the wake of this global catastrophe, society became divided, driven by hatred, prejudice and fear, with many countries now passing drastically discriminatory laws. The most famous of these laws was the Human Restoration Act, intended to isolate the Augmented and keep them away from the Naturals.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be available on August 23 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
