PS4, Xbox One [ Perfect World ]
A new zone, ships and much more in the latest update for Perfect World's hit MMO
Today, Perfect World announces the imminent release of the next update for the console version of Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter. Adventurers on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will have to storm Svardborg, the impregnable fortress of the frost giants, when Sea of Moving Ice launches on console on January 17, 2017. This Neverwinter: Storm King's Thunder update introduces an avalanche of new content, including a vast adventure zone, sailing, a new fishing mini-game, artifact weapons, treasure hunts and an epic assault on the giants' fortress.
In the northern seas of Faerûn, the frost giants have taken control of the region surrounding Icewind Dale and seek to cover the realms in permafrost using the Ring of Winter. This threat continues to loom over Neverwinter and the rest of the Sword Coast, and the heroes of the north will have to raise an army to face Jarl Storvald across the dangerous waters of the Sea of Moving Ice. Aboard their khyek, the new type of boat introduced by this update, players can enjoy typical Neverwinter activities, including deep-sea fishing, with dozens of different fish, as well as hunting for relics and artifact weapons!
Neverwinter is a free-to-play action MMORPG featuring dynamic combat and epic dungeons. Players can explore the vast city of Neverwinter and its surroundings, discovering the living history of this legendary city in the Forgotten Realms throughout their adventures and protecting it from its many enemies. Neverwinter is currently available on PC and as a free digital download on Xbox One for Gold subscribers* and on PlayStation 4 (PlayStation Plus not required).
