Who is Cardinale, the Gold Saint of Pisces?
Pisces Cardinale, also known as
Cardinale of Pisces, is the Gold Saint of Pisces in
Saint Seiya: Next Dimension, one of the 12 Gold Saints serving Athena at that time. He first appears as a traitor, allied with the Grand Pope and Hades, ready to attack even another Gold Saint or the goddess herself.
But behind this mask of questionable loyalty lies a knight capable of sacrificing himself for the true Athena: when he recognizes Saori as the goddess, he clears away the demonic roses and stands against the Ophiuchus serpents to open the way for her, at the cost of his own life. He is a character of constant contrast: elegant, lethal, first an executioner… then a shield.
Like all Pisces Saints, he fights with
deadly roses: Royal Demon Rose, Bloody Rose and Dagger Rose are part of his arsenal, combining poison, bleeding and attacks that enemies cannot evade. He can even blend into the mist generated by his own roses to dodge and strike by surprise, making him an assassin as elusive as he is refined.

Pisces Cardinal is a
bleed DPS / True DMG unit, designed to control the pace of battle through damage over time. He excels in bleed-focused compositions, where each damage tick eventually overwhelms the opposing team.
- Deal heavy area damage through stacking bleed effects.
- Increase the entire team’s bleed damage, making bleed line-ups even more threatening.
- Provide hard-to-mitigate True DMG, ideal against highly resilient tanks.
Strengths
- Massive bleed damage, with excellent sustained pressure.
- Perfect synergy with all bleed-oriented teams (Albafica, other DOT sources, etc.).
- True DMG allows him to remain dangerous even against high defenses and damage reduction.
Points to watch
- He performs best in a team built around bleeding: on his own, his impact is lower.
- He can be targeted early in PvP if identified as the core of the bleed strategy, requiring protection or a smart draft.
