Boo-yah! Fans can celebrate the release today of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on PlayStation4 and PS4Pro. Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI), is bringing one of the most popular video game characters in history, Crash Bandicoot, back into living rooms with remastered high-definition graphics. Players can take control of Crash or his sister Coco across all three games where it all began: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot Warped.

Crash Bandicoot himself announces his return today in a video filmed against a green screen, giving fans the chance to create their own custom videos featuring the iconic marsupial.

The Music from Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy album is also available.

“For many people around the world (myself included), the first Crash Bandicoot games represent some of their best gaming experiences. Bringing it back to life in 2017, more appealing and energetic than ever, has therefore been an honor, as well as a labor of love for all of us at Activision,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision. “Our teams at Vicarious Visions have done an amazing job delivering the Crash players remember fondly, enhanced by the many benefits of the modern era.”

Starting today, fans can download the Crash Bandicoot green-screen return video.

This video features Crash’s powerful and forceful speech announcing his return, footage that fans can freely edit to create their own videos featuring the iconic character.

Crash Bandicoot Trilogy

“We’re really excited that the day has finally come for Crash fans to relive some of their favorite gaming memories with Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy,” added Jennifer Oneal, Studio Head at Vicarious Visions. “We worked hard to make this AAA remaster an amazing experience for every player, whether they are among the original fans or are playing it for the very first time.”

The music from Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is also available this morning. This brand-new musical score, composed by Vicarious Visions, was naturally inspired by the original music composed at the time by Mark Mothersbaugh and Josh Mancell. Featuring 47 tracks, Music from Crash Bandicoo N. Sane Trilogy is available to stream for free, initially on Spotify.

With more than 100 levels to explore, fans will love seeing their beloved 1990s video game icon evolve like never before in this fully remastered collection. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy takes advantage of the PlayStation 4’s features to offer completely recreated lighting, animations, environments and cutscenes – all produced using 4K technology for PS4 Pro.

For the first time, fans can compare their performances with those of friends and other players around the world through online leaderboards. Full support for analog sticks, as well as a unified checkpoint and save system, makes these classic platforming adventures even more accessible to new players. Improved bonus levels and time trials spread throughout this epic trilogy will also challenge the series’ most dedicated fans.

Another new feature in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is the ability to switch between Crash and Coco at the press of a button. Coco is a fully playable character (and a little cheeky, let’s admit it) throughout all three games, with the siblings also having a set of particularly N. Sane special attacks – each with their own style!

Activision and Vicarious Visions truly pay tribute to Crash’s legacy throughout the trilogy in many ways, including a 100% remastered soundtrack containing all the didgeridoos, xylophones and bass lines one could imagine hearing, along with exclusive dialogue freshly recorded by familiar actors from the original Crash Bandicoot games, such as Jess Harnel, Lex Lang and Debi Derryberry, among others.

Developed by Vicarious Visions, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is now available on PS4 and PS4Pro.
