Activision has released a gameplay video for Call of Duty Ghosts: Devastation, the second DLC for Infinity Ward's famous FPS, arriving this week on Microsoft's consoles.
Following its release last year, Call of Duty Ghosts received its first DLC, titled Onslaught. It featured several new multiplayer maps, a first episode for Extinction mode and a new weapon.
Activision is currently preparing the release of Devastation, the second map pack, which will arrive on April 3, 2014, on Xbox One and Xbox 360. It will be released later on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

This offering will include four new multiplayer maps: Ruins, Behemoth, Collision and Unearthed (a remake of the "Dome" map from Modern Warfare 3). In addition, a second episode for Extinction mode, "Mayday," will be included.
A new weapon will also be introduced: the Ripper. It offers two approaches, functioning as an SMG or an assault rifle depending on your distance from enemies. The video below provides an overview of this upcoming DLC.

After Activision's short teaser announcing a new weapon, we now have the first trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts' second DLC. It reveals four new multiplayer maps, a new bonus weapon, the direct continuation of the Extinction episode and, of course, a release date.
Before going into more detail about the DLC's content, we should remind you that an enigmatic appearance will feature in

Introducing the new maps
- Ruins takes you to South America, into the courtyard of an abandoned ancient temple. Complete your field mission and the volcano in the background will erupt upon your enemies.
- Behemoth has you fighting aboard a gigantic drill. Once you complete your mission, you will board a helicopter equipped with a mini-turret, allowing you to have fun circling this open-air map.
- In
Collision, you will be aboard a cargo ship wrecked against a giant bridge, leaving one side of the map completely destroyed and the other completely new. Here too, you can access a controllable killstreak by completing your mission: you will briefly take control of a fighter jet flying over the map, allowing you to fire bullets and missiles.
- Unearthed is a remake of the popular Dome map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Reimagined as an archaeological site, completing the field mission will make aliens from Extinction mode appear and attack your opponents. There is another surprise concerning this map: you can use a weapon that was previously exclusive to Extinction mode. No details have been provided about how to find this weapon on the map.
- As with the previous DLC, a new weapon also makes its appearance:
the Ripper. This hybrid weapon lets you switch from an SMG mode for close-range duels to an assault-rifle mode where precision is essential. Good news for Season Pass holders who own an Xbox 360 or Xbox One: this new weapon is available now.

- The DLC's final new feature is <strongthe direct continuation of Nightfall, the first Extinction episode included in the first DLC. Titled
Mayday, this episode picks up where Nightfall ended: you find yourself aboard a Chinese ship, searching for Dr. Kross in order to save him. New aliens will of course be present, along with crafting to create your ideal weapon.
