Do you remember Angry Birds? No, we're kidding—there are still far too many updates and even a Soon a Minecraft movie? to dethrone them.
Besides, after announcing Angry Birds Stella, publisher Rovio has just revealed that a new game is on the way. Here's the teaser.

For now, there is very little concrete information. It's clear that the publisher is preparing a buzz campaign and intends to slowly build up the excitement.
All we can say for certain is that this is the game's "next epic." It will launch in Canada, New Zealand and Australia, and most likely in other regions later on.
What kind of game is it? The video only reveals some armor… Apparently, it's protecting an Angry Bird. A game set in a medieval universe? A mashup like Rovio's Star Wars collaboration? Something completely different? Place your bets.

UPDATE 03/13/2014:
We know a little more about Rovio's new project. The new variation on its Angry Birds universe will fall into the "RPG" genre. There, we've said it.
After the level-based puzzle game we know so well, Rovio took its angry birds into a humorous racing game heavily inspired by Nintendo's Mario Kart series with Angry Birds GO!. While it seemed obvious that the studio wouldn't stop there, the next gamble is a bold one:
Angry Birds EPIC—that will be the name of the next project—will be a role-playing game.
Unlike the other games in the series, this
spin-off will feature a narrative, as is inherent to the genre. It will involve a
furious struggle between brave birds with varied abilities and cackling evil pigs... all on Piggy Island. The available
screenshots already show two classes: knight and mage.
Yes, these are undeniably classic RPG tropes. The images below also suggest that the battles could be turn-based. Finally,
the game will reportedly be free-to-play (mercy!!) and will offer—or force?—in-app purchases to progress. Good grief. So, are you on board with Angry Birds as an RPG?

Of course, there is still no release date for the Windows Phone version of Angry Birds EPIC!

While we're mainly waiting for Rovio to respond regarding Angry Birds Stella on Windows Phone, announced for competing platforms in mid-February, the developer is teasing a new episode based on a medieval theme. A standalone release or a welcome multiplatform trend?
If there are development studios that never take a break, Rovio is certainly one of them. After announcing an episode starring the pink bird Stella, the Finnish company is moving on to another installment. Spin-off? Prequel? Sequel? It's difficult to say. In any case, the studio intends to give this new game a "
medieval" theme.

One of the only images of "Angry Birds Stella," with the caption: "Best friends forever, most of the time."
That's at least what we understand from watching the short official video.
The question is whether Windows Phone will be supported at the same time as the other platforms, but the teaser mainly mentions that Canada, Australia and New Zealand will be first in line.

What a mystery!
