Firaxis studio has announced the development of Civilization: Beyond Earth, the new game in its famous Civilization series. Except that this time, it will not be about conquering the known or unknown world and becoming the master of the World. No, this time, it will be about going beyond the stars.
Humanity wants to push back its limits as Earth is running out of steam—a chance to imagine new
Horizons and new technologies for a revamped technology tree. Distant planets await Civilization fans, along with their extraterrestrial life forms and human competitors. Establishing a new world in order to develop a civilization will be achieved either through force or by forming alliances with the natives.

Civilization: Beyond Earth takes place after a global catastrophe on Earth. The planet has therefore been subjected to a mass exodus. The game will let you explore and colonize alien worlds. Once again, the players' choices will have a major impact on how the game unfolds, whether that means fully confronting the civilizations encountered, plundering their resources or preserving their culture.
You will choose the faction you want to lead, as well as whom to take to this new planet and what kind of colonists to bring—scientists? Laborers? These choices will influence your development from the outset.

One of the major new features will be the financial, military and scientific management tied to the satellites you deploy. Throughout the game, you will have quests to complete.
You will remain on the planet's surface, although it will be possible to manage satellites in orbit. The setting and storyline are certainly changing, but the gameplay remains in line with
Civilization V and its well-established mechanics. Civilization Beyond Earth is scheduled for release at the end of the year, exclusively on PC, Mac and Linux.
The first trailer has been unveiled.
