BURBANK, California – (April 30, 2014) – Disney Interactive and Marvel Entertainment have announced Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes, version 2.0 of Disney Infinity. Released in September 2013, this "toy-video game" offered an innovative new way to interact with all of Disney's universes and characters. This completely open-ended gaming experience, built around creativity and imagination, was embraced by children and families, with more than 3 million copies sold worldwide.
The new chapter of the Disney Infinity video game will feature more than 20 Marvel superheroes.
Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes will bring together some of the most iconic superheroes, including Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor and many more. It will offer new adventures based on original stories written by Brian Michael Bendis, the award-winning Marvel comics writer.
Players will return to Toy Box mode – a mode that lets them imagine, create and share adventures – which has been completely revamped for the occasion. Finally, all the characters and power discs from Disney Infinity will be compatible with this new Toy Box mode.
