Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire – 3DS
We really didn't see this one coming. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have just announced the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for November 2014, remakes coming to 3DS of the two titles released on Game Boy Advance in 2003.
After the FireRed and LeafGreen versions on Game Boy Advance and HeartGold and SoulSilver on DS, this marks the series' third wave of remakes. So far, nothing beyond temporary cover art has leaked, but we can expect these two titles to adopt the 3D visual style used in Pokémon X and Y. We'll have to wait to learn more.
Just as we were beginning our second phase of digestion, the remakes of Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, the two entries originally released on Game Boy Advance, were announced for 3DS.
No further details for now, but we already have some great-looking covers and a release window:
November 2014.
