With downloads and notifications, fans will no longer miss their favorite films and episodes
Pokémon TV, the free-to-download app available for iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire and Android, is receiving several brand-new features today. The app contains up to 60 episodes of the Pokémon animated series—with weekly updates—as well as Pokémon films. It is now possible to download an episode or film and watch it when network access is unavailable. The content currently available includes episodes from the first season, Pokémon: Indigo League, through the most recent season, Pokémon the Series: XY.
The update includes updated features, including:
- My Channel: When you watch a video, it is automatically saved to your channel, making it easier to resume watching. Recently watched videos also remain available in your channel, and the next episode starts automatically when each episode ends.
- Downloadable content: Fans without network access can still enjoy their favorite Pokémon content. With this update, it is possible to mark an episode or film for offline viewing. The video will be available on the device for one week before being automatically deleted.
- Video ratings: With this feature, Pokémon fans can rate the videos they watch. Their rating will contribute to the video's average score.
- Automatic notifications: Users can now find out when new films and episodes are added to the Pokémon TV app through automatic notifications.
This latest update is part of the 2016 animation broadcast program across multiple channels. Pokémon the Movie 2: The Power of One, featuring the Legendary Pokémon Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, is now available on Pokémon TV, and more films and episodes will be available throughout the year. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Pokémon the Series: XYZ in 2016.
