Blizzard Entertainment's futuristic team-based shooter launches on May 24 for PS4, Xbox One and PC

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that more than 9.7 million players from around the world battled it out in Overwatch, its team-based shooter, during the beta on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
It has thus become Blizzard's biggest public beta to date. By the time it closed on May 10, participants had accumulated more than 4.9 billion minutes (over 81 million hours) across more than 37 million intense, team-based and entertaining matches.
"We're thrilled to see so many players around the world enjoy a taste of Overwatch during the beta, said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. Our goal was to give as many console and PC players as possible the chance to experience the full game before launch.
The result exceeded our expectations, and I hope everyone had a great time."
