Star Trek Online comes to consoles with six years of content and an improved graphics engine
Star Trek Online will offer two expansions and the equivalent of 11 seasons of updates to all console players looking to immerse themselves in the Star Trek universe. Each player's adventure begins with a choice between one of Star Trek's classic factions—the Federation, the Klingons or the Romulans—and 32 playable species, with millions of options available to customize their own captain. As they travel through the Star Trek Online universe, players will have the opportunity to visit iconic locations from the franchise, such as the planet Vulcan, Deep Space Nine, Earth's Spacedock and many more. They will be able to explore the Star Trek Online galaxy aboard hundreds of ships from the Star Trek universe and engage in space combat. In addition, they will be able to discover the game's entire narrative content and reach the maximum level, 60—all for free.
In addition to content representing countless hours of gameplay, Cryptic Studios has also made major updates to Star Trek Online's graphics engine to provide players with improved visuals and the best possible console experience. Building on the successful launch of Neverwinter on Xbox One, the Star Trek Online team created an adapted interface and control scheme to make exploration and combat easier on consoles, both on the ground and in space.
Star Trek Online is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online game in which players can forge their own destiny as the captain of a Federation starship, become a powerful Klingon warrior seeking to extend the Empire's influence to the far reaches of the galaxy, or work to rebuild Romulan heritage as a commander of the Romulan Republic. Its latest expansion, Star Trek Online: Delta Rising, took players into the mysteries of the Delta Quadrant and allowed them to rediscover iconic members of the Star Trek: Voyager crew, including Seven of Nine, the Doctor, Harry Kim, Neelix and Tuvok. In Star Trek Online, players can visit iconic locations from the Star Trek universe, venture into unexplored star systems and encounter new, unknown forms of life.

Perfect World Europe B.V., a major publisher of successful free-to-play MMORPGs, and Cryptic Studios announced today their plans to bring Star Trek Online, the MMORPG based on the Star Trek franchise, to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in fall 2016. At launch on consoles, Star Trek Online will allow players to discover the equivalent of six years of content, including more than 130 episodes continuing the classic Star Trek story, alongside numerous actors from the original series, such as Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), Michael Dorn (Worf), Tim Russ (Tuvok) and many more.
