Microïds and Benoit Sokal reveal the first video for Syberia 3
In the video titled "Kate Walker's New Journey," Benoit Sokal and part of the development team reveal previously unseen details about the return of the Syberia series. It offers a look behind the scenes of production, illustrated by several sequences from the game in development.
Some visual effects, sounds and voices are still being finalized and may change, but the team already wanted to share a first glimpse of the game and its ambitions with the community. A new video, to be unveiled very soon, will focus on some of the important aspects of the Syberia universe and, in particular, Kate Walker's new journey.
As a reminder, the new chapter in Kate Walker's journey begins as she finds herself adrift on a makeshift boat. Luckily, the caravan of the Youkol people, whom she already encountered in Syberia 2, discovers her before she draws her last breath.
Determined to escape their common enemies, Kate decides to help the nomads carry out their most unusual ancestral tradition: accompanying the migration of the snow ostriches to the sacred steppes where they can reproduce. It is a journey through landscapes that are alternately enchanting and devastated, bringing the young woman her most dangerous and wondrous adventures, always with her pursuers hot on her heels…
For the first time in full 3D, "Syberia 3" was designed and developed for PS4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as PC/Mac. Players will enjoy entirely new freedom to explore its magnificent landscapes and cities and unravel their mysteries and puzzles in a way that is completely new to the series. "Syberia 3" is scheduled for release on December 1, 2016, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Polish and Russian
