The wait is over! Players can finally savor every drop of blood in a newly remastered format that is gorier than ever. Featuring the original Dead Island and its sequel Dead Island: Riptide, along with all previously released DLC, the Dead Island Definitive Collection brings together the two legendary zombie games for the first time in fully remastered editions for Microsoft's all-in-one Xbox One entertainment console, the PlayStation4 computer entertainment system and PC! To round out the collection, a new gem is making its debut in the zombie-slaughter genre: Dead Island Retro Revenge, an old-school side-scrolling action game! This overhaul of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide delivers a major improvement to graphics and performance, with numerous cutting-edge visual effects:

• High-quality textures – The game's textures have been recreated at a higher resolution, and the level of detail has been improved.
• A new photorealistic lighting system – The original title's lighting system has been greatly improved, giving its stunning tropical landscapes a far more realistic appearance.
• Shaders to enhance model quality – Thanks to the latest version of the Chrome Engine, the introduction of new physics-based shading techniques enhances the quality of models and objects and makes them look more realistic as they respond to different lighting conditions.

• Improved 3D models and geometry – All major geometric visuals, such as NPCs and character models, have received graphical improvements.
• HBAO and motion blur effects – The addition of HBAO (horizon-based ambient occlusion) further enhances the depth and realism of the world of Dead Island through better integration of object shadows, while brand-new motion blur effects give the gameplay a more cinematic feel.
• Updated interface – The interface style has been harmonized between Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, providing a smoother and more consistent gameplay experience.
• A console gaming experience – Dead Island Definitive Collection will of course take advantage of the features offered by the new consoles, including four-player cooperative multiplayer, remote play on PS Vita (for PS4), Share Play features (PS4), and gameplay streaming and recording.
