Brock Lesnar will be the Superstar on the WWE 2K17 cover

2K announces that Brock Lesnar will be the Superstar on the cover of WWE 2K17, the next edition of the famous WWE video game franchise. Brock Lesnar is known for his unparalleled career, particularly in WWE, UFC and NCAA Division I. For 16 years, thanks to his work ethic, intensity and attitude, he has embodied the perfect blend of sport and entertainment. The "Unbeatable, Incumbent Mayor of Suplex City" will support the worldwide marketing campaign for WWE 2K17, inviting fans to explore a new aspect of the world inspired by Brock Lesnar while learning even more about the video game. WWE 2K17 is scheduled for worldwide release on October 11, 2016, on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, as well as Xbox One and Xbox 360. "My career has been defined by dominating every opportunity that has come my way", comments Brock Lesnar. "Here is another one. Representing WWE 2K17 is an honor and, with my commitment, I am sure this project will succeed". After an impressive career at the University of Minnesota, where he became the NCAA Division I Heavyweight Champion during his final year, Brock Lesnar made his WWE debut in 2002. He was quickly nicknamed "The Next Big Thing" by his manager, Paul Heyman. Later that year, he took part in high-level action. At the age of 25, he became the youngest WWE Champion in the company's history by defeating Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at SummerSlam. Brock Lesnar won two more WWE Championship titles and developed notable rivalries with Superstars such as Undertaker, John Cena and Big Show. Brock Lesnar's last WWE match took place at WrestleMania 20 in 2004, where he lost to Bill Goldberg, the WWE 2K17 pre-order offer.

After leaving WWE, Brock Lesnar began a career in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings. He also competed in a few martial arts events before signing with the UFC in 2007. Brock Lesnar quickly became one of the organization's biggest stars. During his time in the UFC, he became the undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion. He thus equaled the UFC record for the number of consecutive Heavyweight Championship reigns and also became one of the organization's biggest draws and one of the most significant pay-per-views in UFC history. Brock Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012 and has continued to impress us with his relentless and unyielding action. In addition to renewing old rivalries, Brock Lesnar shook the WWE Universe at WrestleMania 30 by defeating Undertaker and ending his streak of 21 consecutive WrestleMania victories. At SummerSlam 2014, Brock Lesnar won his fourth WWE Championship against John Cena and delivered 16 German suplexes during the match. Developed in collaboration by Yuke's and 2K studio Visual Concepts, WWE 2K17 has not yet received a PEGI rating. WWE 2K17 is scheduled for worldwide release on PS4 and PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on October 11, 2016. People who pre-order WWE 2K17 from participating retailers will receive two playable versions of WCW and WWE legend Bill Goldberg, as well as two playable WCW arenas, Monday Nitro and Halloween Havoc, at no additional cost when the game launches.
