Previously known as "Valkyria: Azure Revolution", the game will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Europe. The embodiment of death, Valkyria returns to the battlefield in Valkyria Revolution. And it is up to players to do everything and sacrifice everything to achieve revenge. Previously revealed under the name "Valkyria: Azure Revolution", this game, now titled Valkyria Revolution, will be released in the West both physically and digitally on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Microsoft's all-in-one entertainment console. Valkyria Revolution represents a revolution in that it breaks away from the traditional Valkyria Chronicles universe, taking place instead in an alternate timeline inspired by Europe's industrial era. The turn-based strategic gameplay system also gives way to a hybrid of real-time combat and battlefield strategy. Valkyria Revolution will be available in the second quarter of 2017. It often takes only a spark to unleash the horrors of war, and that is what players will witness in the story of Valkyria Revolution. Five lifelong friends, consumed by a desire for personal revenge, plunge an entire continent into a terrible war and sacrifice the lives of many innocents for a cause built on half-truths and blatant lies. The members of this "Circle of Five" have each used their influence in their respective political and military positions to encourage their country, however small and subject to an economic blockade, to rise up and organize formidable resistance against the imperialist oppressor. Will the Circle of Five go down in history as a union of heroic liberators, or will their selfish motives make them traitors who sacrificed innocent lives to carry out a personal vendetta? Players will witness this grand story in Valkyria Revolution and discover the truth behind these events...

Valkyria Revolution will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the second quarter, and will be published digitally by Sega on PlayStation Vita. The game's PEGI rating has not yet been assessed.
