The new action RPG Vampyr for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, developed by Dontnod, unveils a new video focused on the stories and urban legends that the inhabitants of London tell about its mysterious protagonist, Dr. Jonathan Reid.
At the beginning of the last century, as the Spanish flu ravages the streets of London and plunges its inhabitants into the deepest despair, Dr. Reid returns from the front of the Great War, afflicted with a new deadly condition... vampirism. As a doctor, Reid considers his affliction a disease, which he tries to understand and live with. Perhaps he hopes to find a cure, while continuing to help his city and its inhabitants, who are suffering from the deadly flu that is ravaging the population indiscriminately.
In Vampyr, every citizen has a name, a story and a place in the city's ecosystem. To survive and grow stronger, you will have to become a predator—but taking a life, however insignificant it may seem, will have a significant impact on the population as a whole. Each sacrificed victim will generate their own set of consequences, which you will have to live with for the rest of your journey... a necessary evil if you want to become strong enough to face the vampire hunters who are tracking you and your kind.
Vampyr will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2017.
