Konami brings the famous collectible card game to iOS and Android, promising epic online duels against players from around the world
Since its launch in Japan last November, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links has been downloaded more than 13 million times, reaching the top spot in the free app rankings on the App Store and Google Play.
Based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links finally brings the hugely popular card game to mobile. Duelists can embody the spirit of Yami Yugi, Seto Kaiba and many other fan-favorite characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise in a competitive card-battle universe.
In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, duelists will be able to build the ultimate deck by choosing from 700 Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and take part in intense real-time duels against other players. The very essence of Yu-Gi-Oh! has been adapted for mobile devices, allowing players to face duelists from around the world by summoning monsters, traps and spells to reduce their opponent's Life Points and secure victory.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! series is based both on the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga by Kazuki Takahashi, which has been published regularly in SHUEISHA Inc.'s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 1996, and on the fifth iteration of the anime series "Yu-Gi-Oh!" (currently broadcast on the TV Tokyo network's channels). Konami released the first console game based on the franchise in 1998, while the series, including its collectible card game, remains hugely popular among countless fans around the world. Konami continues to develop and distribute a wide range of Yu-Gi-Oh! content and products to bring the full richness of the series to fans worldwide. Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. announces today that Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is now available to download on the App Store and Google Play in Europe. Duelists can now take part in epic real-time face-offs.
