An adrenaline-fueled racing blockbuster Pre-order the game and instantly access five cars with unique customization and tuning
Ghost Games, an Electronic Arts Inc. studio, announced today that Need for Speed Payback, the new AAA action title from one of the world's biggest video game franchises, will be released worldwide on November 10. This explosive adventure is packed with frantic missions, intense showdowns, epic police pursuits and jaw-dropping cinematic sequences. Its high-level gameplay, never before seen in the series, is supported by a gripping story of betrayal and revenge. In Need for Speed Payback, it is no longer enough to be the first to cross the finish line or make your tires squeal to prove you're the best. You have to build the perfect car, then drive it to progress through a story focused on action. "This year, Need for Speed will shake up what players expect from racing games," explains executive producer Marcus Nilsson. "We're bringing everything fans love about the franchise: extensive customization, an impressive selection of cars, intense races and thrilling open-world pursuits. But with Need for Speed Payback, we're combining all these elements into an extraordinary and unprecedented driving experience. This game is our vision of modern racing and action games, whether in its story, its playable characters, the variety of its missions or the adrenaline rushes it will deliver."
In the world of Fortune Valley, each player can take on the role of three distinct characters, united by the same desire to take revenge on "The House," a cartel that controls everything the city has to offer in casinos, criminals and cops. They will take part in demanding and varied events as Tyler (the Racer), Mac (the Showman) and Jess (the Wheelman) to earn the respect of the underground world. With a level of customization never before seen in the series, players can freely design a unique car or spend hours searching for a wreck, then restore and customize it to turn it into a supercar. They can then push the engines to their limits and raise the stakes by betting on their own performance. This allows them to multiply their winnings... Or lose everything.
Players who pre-order the game will receive the Need for Speed Payback Platinum Car Pack and instantly access five legendary cars, each featuring unique customization and tuning, along with exclusive blue Platinum tire smoke. Here are the cars included in the Platinum Car Pack:
- Nissan 350Z (2008)
