The innovative sandbox action franchise returns with Just Cause 4
Square Enix Ltd., Square Enix announced today the arrival of Just Cause 4, the latest entry in the successful sandbox action franchise developed by AVALANCHE Studios. Just Cause 4 was unveiled during the Xbox E3 2018 conference with the release of a gameplay trailer. Just Cause 4 will represent a major release for Square Enix and a landmark episode for the franchise when it becomes available on December 4, 2018, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
Just Cause 4 takes place in the spectacular South American nation of Solís, where it takes the franchise's incredible potential for destruction and unique physics to new heights with the introduction of tornadoes and other extreme weather phenomena. Just Cause 4 is made up of four distinct environments: rainforest, plains, mountains and desert. Thanks to the unique, fully simulated weather in each environment, players will experience something new as they explore this complex and diverse world.
Rico Rodriguez returns in Just Cause 4 with his iconic parachute and wingsuit, and of course, his upgraded and fully customizable grappling hook, making it the most powerful and creative tool available to players.
"We took everything players loved about the previous games, then added new features, improved physics and core gameplay enhancements to create the most ambitious Just Cause experience to date," said Francesco Antolini, Game Director at Avalanche Studios. "Just Cause 4's extreme weather changes everything. Players have never seen anything like it in a video game. Three editions of Just Cause 4 are available to pre-order: the Standard Edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Gold Edition. The Just Cause 4 Digital Deluxe Edition includes special Black Hand weaponry: the Black Hand stealth micro jet and the Black Hand experimental wingsuit. The Gold Edition includes the expansion pass, Deluxe digital content and the Bling-Bling pack. Players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition or Gold Edition will also receive guaranteed early access to the game upon release.

Square Enix will share incredible game news during an ambitious Just Cause 4 presentation at E3 beginning on June 12. This three-day livestream from the Los Angeles Convention Center will feature exclusive content, including first-look videos from famous YouTubers, never-before-seen Just Cause 4 gameplay footage and in-depth interviews.
