The goblin assassin Styx is back in a new stealth game, Styx: Shards of Darkness. Developed by Cyanide, the sequel to Styx: Master of Shadows promises a high-caliber production, bigger ideas, countless improvements and a new engine: Unreal Engine 4.
In the new images unveiled today, we see Styx prowling through some of the game's vast environments. From the City of Thieves, built from shipwrecks, to the great elven city of Korangar hidden at the heart of the mountains, the environments in Styx: Shards of Darkness are enormous and semi-open, with a strong emphasis on verticality. Players will enjoy considerable freedom of action as they work to complete the game's many mission objectives. These vast playgrounds will allow Styx to put his new stealth, assassination and exploration skills to the test, including using ropes to climb, swing and zip-line down to reach previously inaccessible areas. These images show only a small part of the dizzying environments in Styx: Shards of Darkness. With new skills for exploring the world, a deep and original story, and many other new features that we will reveal in the coming weeks, Styx returns with bigger and better stealth gameplay this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
