Fans will be rushing to get it. Released on PlayStation 2 in 2005,
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King was one of the first entries in the series to make it beyond Japan's borders. Now it is making a strong return on Android (and iOS).

Is it worth €17.99? Of course!
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is a masterpiece straight from Level-5 (the game is published by Square Enix).
Dragon Quest VIII is one of the best-known RPG series in the world.
Obviously, the story is predictable. Storytelling is not Level-5's strong suit, but the presentation is superb: its gameplay is surprising, and the game lasts around 100 hours. You will be able to discover several continents, islands, and hideouts to explore.

Another reason for its success? Its offbeat tone and simple combat system. Fully controlled through a menu, battles are largely based on stats and initiative, offering users basic commands such as "attack, spells, skills, etc." Don't be fooled: you will not be able to finish the game by pressing the attack button over and over again.
And even if you spend your long journeys leveling up (it takes a lot of time to become strong in this game), your opponents will always be unpredictable. For example, they can call for reinforcements, focus on a weakened character, and more.
