Aniimo version 1.1: Lumiris, events and September updates

By Filo · · 14 min read
Aniimo has been on version 1.1 since September 23, 2026. This first major post-launch update accompanies the game's arrival on iOS and Android and notably adds the new legendary Aniimo Lumiris, the Holo-Combat Nexus, a Chaos mode for Egg Heist, several limited-time events and a long list of technical improvements. Quick answer: version 1.1 of Aniimo is not limited to a few fixes. Pawprint Studio is already expanding the endgame and seasonal activities while correcting several performance, display and controller issues that appeared at launch. To discover the game's mechanics, Twining, platforms and cross-progression, see our complete Aniimo guide.

Aniimo version 1.1: the essential new features

The main changes introduced by Aniimo version 1.1.

Lumiris: the new legendary Aniimo in version 1.1

The most visible new feature in this update is Lumiris, a legendary Grass-type Aniimo introduced as part of the new Legendary Journey chapter The Windchaser's Departure. On European servers, the Lumiris event began on September 25, 2026 at 10:00 UTC and is scheduled to remain available until December 9, 2026 at 23:59 UTC. To access it, the character must have reached Student I rank. The system notably relies on a new limited weekly source of Iris Petals. These petals are used to craft the legendary Aniipod linked to Lumiris. Once this Aniipod has been crafted, the player can unlock the Rift Space where Lumiris resides and continue the Legendary Journey. Pawprint Studio also states that befriending Lumiris unlocks its exclusive Metamorphosis ability.

A special Aniipod with guaranteed capture

The season also features the legendary Aniipod The Windchaser's Departure. According to the rules published by Pawprint Studio, using it guarantees a 100% capture rate. The captured Aniimo then has Perfect inherent potential, appears in its radiant form and benefits from specific seasonal advantages. This change is interesting because Pawprint had already explained before release that it had reworked the capture experience for its legendary Aniimo following feedback from test phases.

Holo-Combat Nexus: a new group activity

Version 1.1 also introduces the Holo-Combat Nexus, an activity that simulates battles against particularly dangerous Alpha Aniimo. Players can form a team of four participants or complete their group with AI-controlled teammates. Each cycle includes three routes with their own Alphas and environmental mechanics. Before the fight, the group can adjust its Aniimo lineup and select enhancement effects. The game then keeps the best star rating achieved on each route. Rewards depend on the total number of stars earned across all three routes, while helping other players can also grant support rewards. The cycle is scheduled every week, from Thursday at 04:00 UTC to Monday at 03:59 UTC. The activity requires reaching Vanguard I rank.

Egg Heist: a much harder Chaos mode

The update also strengthens one of Aniimo's most distinctive multiplayer modes: Operation: Egg Heist, also known simply by its English name Egg Heist. The new Chaos mode is the higher difficulty tier of this PvPvE activity. It has been available since September 24, 2026 and requires reaching rank IV “Elite Egg Seeker”. A Chaos Ticket is required to enter. In return, Pawprint Studio announces significantly higher drop rates for Prismana Aniimo eggs and prismatic items, with a chance to discover particularly rare secret collectibles as well. The studio nevertheless warns that evacuation conditions are stricter and recommends taking part with other players.

Aniimo Discovery: a search and capture event

The Aniimo Discovery event runs on European servers from September 25 to October 9, 2026. The Polaris Institute asks players to search for a new Aniimo in Idyll by consuming search attempts. Free attempts refresh periodically, but they do not stack: failing to use them before the refresh therefore means losing them. Once all free attempts have been used, Vein Essence can be spent to continue searching. Specific quests also provide rewards and help progress the Research Center to unlock various event-related bonuses.

Vein Abundance: two periods to hunt for Prismana

Another version 1.1 event, Vein Abundance, temporarily makes Aniimo appear in their Prismana form in certain regions of Idyll.

Period Area Prismana Aniimo
September 28 to October 5, 2026 Bois de la tour-aux-roses Méliflore
October 5 to 12, 2026 Vallée de béryl Coléobée
The event also requires Student II rank. Prismana forms are attracted for a limited time by surges of vein energy, providing another reason to return to regions already explored.

Glamour Star and Travel Chronicles: the other events to remember

Version 1.1 is not limited to combat and capture. Glamour Star runs in Europe until October 2, 2026. The announced theme is “Floral Evening”: the player must select an Aniimo and accessories matching the theme in order to earn a score and various rewards. From October 1 through October 29, 2026, the Travel Chronicles event rewards repeated logins. Players need to log in on a certain number of days during the period to collect the planned gifts.

The mobile launch accompanies version 1.1

The September 23 update also marks the worldwide launch of Aniimo on iOS and Android. Pawprint Studio confirms cross-platform progression between mobile, PC and consoles. By using the same account and the same server, players can access their progress, resources and team compositions across several devices. It is therefore possible to start a session on PC or console and then continue on a smartphone, provided the account and server requirements are respected. For full details on how the game and its platforms work, see our Aniimo feature: gameplay, platforms, Twining and cross-progression.

Version 1.1 also improves gameplay and quality of life

Pawprint Studio used this update to change many quality-of-life details that are not always visible in the major announcements. Among the main changes:
  • addition of a dedicated Nomad voice setting in the audio options;
  • improvements to several quest and objective descriptions;
  • new shortcuts for managing the Homeland;
  • improved controller navigation across several interfaces;
  • addition of new mysterious Prismana eggs among Homeland rewards;
  • simplification of the system used to invite a friend as a companion;
  • sharing of certain rare gathered resources between members of a companion team;
  • improved voice translation between languages;
  • an increase in the blooming duration of certain flowers from two to three minutes.
These changes show that version 1.1 is being used both to add content and to correct several pain points reported since launch.

Fixes: black screens, reconnections and performance

Performance is another major focus of this update. Pawprint Studio states that it has fixed several issues affecting certain configurations. Version 1.1 notably fixes:
  • a red screen discoloration on certain devices;
  • localized display issues and black screens on certain GPUs;
  • an infinite reconnection loop in certain situations;
  • performance problems related to lock-on indicators and floating damage numbers;
  • interface-related stuttering;
  • part of the memory consumption and performance cost of certain environmental elements;
  • the frame rate of certain animations on PC.
Several patches released since launch had already targeted repeated disconnections, some black screens, capture errors and rendering issues.

PS5, Xbox and PC controllers also benefit from several fixes

Version 1.1 brings a long list of adjustments for players using a controller. Pawprint Studio has notably changed certain button combinations to prevent the emote bar from opening accidentally during combat, improved several control prompts and fixed navigation issues in menus. Specific fixes also address the virtual keyboard, character and camper van customization, as well as a false controller-disconnected message. On PS5, playback of certain custom Aniimo videos has been fixed. On Xbox, Pawprint also fixed a freeze that could occur when opening chat and sending messages.

Is version 1.1 a real content update?

Yes. Aniimo version 1.1 is more substantial than a simple launch patch. It adds a new legendary Aniimo, several multiplayer and seasonal activities, new capture events and, at the same time, improves many technical aspects. Above all, it shows the pace Pawprint Studio appears to want for the game after release: limited-time events, new activities, new Aniimo and regular fixes. The most interesting point to watch now will be whether the studio can maintain this pace without making progression too dependent on time-limited events.
