Recommended route and points to secure
- Chapter 2 — plan for the fine: hiding the llama plush results in a 7,000-unit fine, while hiding Rocket's equipment costs 8,000; letting the timer run out can raise the amount to 9,000. For a route without calculations, keep 9,000 units and do not spend money in Knowhere during Chapter 6. The Galactic Frugality trophy/achievement requires paying the fine in Chapter 9. - Throughout the game — personal items: search areas before the point of no return. The 15 Guardian collectibles must then be picked up with the relevant character aboard the Milano to register their entries. The outfits and collectibles guide details their locations.
- Compendium — six separate categories: for Lore Hoarder/Scholar, reach 65% in each of the six categories (Characters, Factions, Creatures, Locations, Items and Archives), not 65% overall. Archives and entries discovered through exploration and dialogue count; they are not all required for an individual trophy, but they help you reach each category's threshold.
Practical reference: Characters, Factions, Creatures and Locations progress partly through encounters, dialogue and the story. Items and Archives require more inspection and exploration. This reference does not replace the counter: check 65% in every category.
- Outfits: all 45 outfits are required for Fashion Passion/Fashion Victim. You must find and equip them; some post-game outfits require New Game+. Outfits are easier to recover than Compendium entries, whose progress may be tied to the save file.
- Combat: use every Guardian's Call to Action and abilities during fights, then perform automatic team-up attacks with each companion. Revive allies and perform team-up rushes regularly instead of leaving everything until the end.
Recovery: guides disagree about what is actually missable. Chapter Select and save rollback can reset story states or fail to merge certain items and entries with the main save; outfits have different persistence. The game and platforms have changed, and player reports do not guarantee that collectibles will merge. Make a backup save before testing a rollback and treat collectibles and Compendium progress as something to secure during your first playthrough. Do not rely on Chapter Select to complete the main Compendium.

An attentive playthrough lets you earn most of them. For post-game outfits, plan on New Game+; Compendium states and personal collectibles are the elements to secure during your first playthrough.
Do you need to collect all 126 collectibles?
No. The overall figure includes 45 outfits, 15 Guardian collectibles, 32 Compendium items and 34 Archives. The trophies require all 45 outfits, all personal items belonging to at least one Guardian, half of all personal items, and 65% of each of the six Compendium categories. These objectives overlap without systematically requiring every Archive.
Which choice causes the fine to fail?
The amount depends on the Chapter 2 choice: if the timer expires, it can reach 9,000 units. Keep at least that amount, avoid purchases in Chapter 6 and pay the fine in Chapter 9.
