This first part of the walkthrough covers chapters 1 to 5. For the complete journey, return to the complete Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy guide.

Chapter 1 — A Risky Gamble
Objective: cross the Quarantine Zone, take part in Rocket's bet and capture a creature for Lady Hellbender.
- Use the visor to spot nests, components and interactive elements.
- Alternate between shooting, dodging and the Guardians' abilities instead of relying solely on your blasters.
- After every slide or regrouping, inspect the path opposite the one indicated by Rocket.
Chapter 2 — The Case of the Missing Thing
Objective: accompany Nikki to Hala's Hope, then answer Ko-Rel's interrogation.
- After moving the yellow crate with Nikki, explore the passage she does not take to find Nova-Lord.
- Stand up for Nikki in the elevator and accept responsibility: she will give you her access card, which is useful in chapter 7.
- The llama/Rocket's equipment choice determines the amount of the fine and changes two later sequences.
Chapter 3 — The Price of Freedom
Objective: reach Lady Hellbender's fortress on Seknarf Nine and prepare the fake sale of a Guardian.
- The Groot/Rocket decision completely changes the route through chapter 4, but not the game's ending.
- Stopping Drax from throwing Rocket prevents him from getting annoyed; the other option does not block any collectible.
- Save your control abilities for resistant creatures and attack while they are stunned.
Chapter 4 — The Monster Queen
Objective: conclude the transaction or infiltrate the vault, then escape the fortress.
- If you offered Groot, insist on his uniqueness and let Drax finalize the deal to maximize the negotiation.
- If you offered Rocket, the sale always fails and the team goes through the vault.
- Against the Dweller-in-Darkness, destroy the tentacles, avoid the areas marked on the ground and take advantage of its stunned phases.
Chapter 5 — Getting Fined
Objective: explore Hala's Hope, restore power and discover what happened to the Nova Corps.
- In the reception area, redirect power to the secondary doors before opening the main route.
- Do not speak into the helmet if you want to avoid an additional fight; this choice has no lasting effect.
- Shielded enemies fall faster after being stunned by Drax or hit with a suitable elemental attack.
FAQ
Should you hide the llama or Rocket's equipment?
Hiding the llama reduces the fine and opens a shortcut in chapter 10. Hiding the equipment slightly improves the Milano's weapons in chapter 9.
Should you sell Groot or Rocket?
Selling Groot allows for a genuine negotiation with Lady Hellbender. Offering Rocket leads to a vault infiltration; both routes eventually rejoin the same story.
Can you collect every item in chapter 4 in a single playthrough?
The two routes offer the same outfits and the same Guardian collectible, but in different locations. Route-specific archives may require a second playthrough.
