TGS 2026 Day 4: Dream Club ZERO R+, Castlevania, Suikoden, Stellar Blade… All the Announcements from September 20

By Filo · · 13 min read

Sunday, September 20, 2026, the last physical day of Tokyo Game Show 2026 after September 21 was canceled because of Typhoon No. 25, ultimately brought several announcements specific to this final day. D3 Publisher unveiled Dream Club ZERO R+, Konami dated the Castlevania: Belmont's Curse demo for October 1 and detailed Chapter 3 of Suikoden STAR LEAP. The show also brought a Street Fighter 6 × Detective Precure! collaboration, a Switch 2 demo for Stellar Blade Complete Edition, new gameplay details for Atelier Karia and a more complete presentation of The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother.

As with our previous TGS roundups, we distinguish here between the genuine new features of September 20 and information announced on earlier days. A simple new gameplay demonstration is not automatically treated as a “Day 4 announcement.”

2. Dream Club ZERO R+ officially announced

The clearest surprise on Sunday came from D3 Publisher with the announcement of Dream Club ZERO R+. The game is planned for 2027 on consoles, with no definitive platform details available at the time of the announcement. This is a new version of Dream Club ZERO, enhanced with new artwork and at least one new host girl. At this stage, the game primarily stands out as a genuine new Day 4 announcement rather than a simple update to a title already presented earlier at the show.

3. Suikoden STAR LEAP: Chapter 3 arrives September 24, plus new franchise expansions

KONAMI used its Suikoden Live at TGS2026 event to share several important details about Suikoden STAR LEAP. The most concrete announcement concerns Chapter 3, which will be released on September 24, 2026. This new chapter will add Shampia and the Rokkaku village, featuring Kasumi, Sasuke and Tsubaki. KONAMI also said that an international version and a Steam version of the game are in preparation. The franchise extends beyond the mobile game. The team also confirmed that an anime collaboration is planned for late November, that the Suikoden anime will begin on October 3, 2026 and run for two cours through March 2027, and that Suikoden II will be adapted for the theater for the first time in two parts, with the first performances scheduled for July 2027 in Tokyo and Osaka.

4. Castlevania: Belmont's Curse demo dated for October 1

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse was one of Day 4's biggest editorial winners. The game did not receive a new release date—the previously announced date of October 15, 2026 remains unchanged—but KONAMI announced some very useful news: a playable demo will be available on October 1, 2026. The demo will cover the game's opening chapter. The publisher says that save data can be transferred to the full version, provided players use the same platform and account. The TGS program also highlighted Trevor Belmont and Death in central roles in the day's presentation, with voice actors Ryotaro Okiayu and Satoshi Tsuruoka appearing alongside the development team.

5. Atelier Karia details its gameplay and alchemy system

The day also brought plenty of gameplay information about Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories. The February 25, 2027 release date was already known, so the significance of Day 4 lies elsewhere. The team detailed the “snacking” function, which allows players to eat materials and trigger more than 100 transformations. The combat system combines real-time action, commands and parries, with eight or more styles announced. Koei Tecmo also mentioned the largest alchemy cauldron in the series and the presence of gigantic bosses. For Day 4, the main takeaway is therefore this in-depth presentation of the game's systems; no new release date was announced during the stage.

6. Street Fighter 6, Stellar Blade and other Sunday surprises

Street Fighter 6 × Detective Precure!

CAPCOM announced a collaboration between Street Fighter 6 and Detective Precure! A collaborative story told across four episodes will arrive on December 17, 2026, featuring Luke, Jamie, Kimberly and characters from Detective Precure!. The same program also offered the first real public gameplay presentation of Arjun. The character builds up a large amount of recoverable damage and then exploits this vulnerability, particularly through his throws. His October 13 release date was already known before the show.

7. The Apothecary Diaries finally showcases exploration, gathering and deduction

The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother was initially one of the program's secondary subjects. Ultimately, the game offered a substantial first gameplay demonstration. The stage presented free exploration of the palace, item gathering, remedy preparation and deduction sequences. Jinshi's disguise was also shown. Famitsu specifies that, apart from the poisoned makeup case, the game's cases will be original rather than direct retellings of the known work. This presentation provided enough new information to be included in the main Day 4 roundup.
