As of 9 October 2026, the full list of playable games has not yet been presented in a single official programme. However, several titles and activities have already been announced, particularly in the Family area.

The PGW Family area has announced the following games:

Will Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox be at PGW 2026?

The official PGW Gaming page confirms that major console and PC publishers and manufacturers will be attending with games and stages.

Several Nintendo and PlayStation titles have already been specifically announced for the Family area: Donkey Kong Bananza, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Astro Bot and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. For Nintendo context, our coverage of the Nintendo Switch 2 helps put these announcements into perspective.

However, at the time of this update, Game.fr prefers not to describe a major Nintendo, PlayStation or Xbox booth as definitively confirmed until the organiser or the manufacturers themselves have published a detailed list of exhibitors and installations.

This section will be updated as soon as official information becomes available.

What is the PGW 2026 Playground Edition?

For its 15th anniversary, Paris Games Week is introducing the Playground Edition, a format that turns the visit into a participatory experience. Through the official app, visitors will be able to follow a route around the show, complete challenges, earn points, unlock collectible badges and try to win rewards.

A new mascot accompanies this edition: a large gaming-loving robot designed as the event's visual guide. The goal is to make the visit more than a sequence of booths, encouraging attendees to explore the different areas and take part in activities.

PGW Gaming: new releases, indie games, hardware and retrogaming

At its heart, Paris Games Week is of course still dedicated to video games. The PGW Gaming area will bring together several worlds.

Publishers and manufacturers

Major video game companies are expected to showcase their recent titles, upcoming releases and various playable experiences.

PGW says this edition will feature blockbusters and previews alike, console and PC games, and French creations.

Discover Zone: indie games

The Discover Zone will spotlight French, European and independent games, with opportunities to meet some development teams directly.

For visitors looking to discover something beyond the most heavily promoted franchises, this area could be one of the show's most interesting.

Game France Pavilion: over 30 French games and studios

French game development will have a significant place in 2026.

Backed by the CNC, Capital Games and the SNJV, the Game France Pavilion is set to bring together more than 30 French games and studios across around 300 m².

A stage will also host several daily sessions with creators and development teams, offering a look behind the scenes of their projects.

→ See the 15 experiences highlighted by PGW

A hardware area

The Hardware area is aimed at fans of PC setups, displays, peripherals and gaming technology.

PGW is announcing demonstrations and product tests that will let visitors discover equipment in real-world conditions.

Mobile Gaming and LAN

The show also announces:

  • a Mobile Gaming area;
  • an Open Gaming LAN;
  • a Sports area;
  • a PGW stage;
  • an official shop.

→ See every Paris Games Week 2026 area

A Video Game Museum and nearly 400 m² of retrogaming

Retrogaming should be particularly interesting this year.

The Video Game Museum run by the MO5 association is set to occupy nearly 400 m² and celebrate several major anniversaries for historic franchises.

PGW specifically cites:

  • The Legend of Zelda's 40th anniversary;
  • Metroid's 40th anniversary;
  • Castlevania's 40th anniversary;
  • Sonic's 35th anniversary;
  • Pokémon's 30th anniversary;
  • Animal Crossing's 25th anniversary;
  • Pikmin's 25th anniversary.

A retrospective dedicated to Ace Combat's 30th anniversary, organised with Bandai Namco, should also let visitors play several instalments on their original platforms.

To continue the Pokémon focus, check out our articles on Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon X and Y.

This is a particularly appealing angle for an edition seeking to bring 2026's new releases into dialogue with several decades of video game history.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, presented by Capcom for Paris Games Week 2026
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is among the Capcom topics being followed around PGW 2026.

Capcom: Street Fighter and Monster Hunter guests

Capcom is preparing several major activities for PGW.

Street Fighter 6

A Street Fighter Academy will allow visitors to play Street Fighter 6 and improve their technique. If you follow the competitive scene, our recap of Street Fighter 6 at EWC Paris 2026 provides another esports reference point.

On Saturday 24 October, a watch party for Street Fighter League EMEAA 2026 is also announced on the Capcom stage. The game also featured in our coverage of TGS 2026 Day 4.

Monster Hunter: two developers announced

PGW has also announced the attendance, on 22 and 23 October, of two major Monster Hunter representatives:

  • Ryozo Tsujimoto, producer of the Monster Hunter series;
  • Takuro Hiraoka, director of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance. To learn more about the game, see our Monster Hunter Wilds guide. Its recent news also featured in our recap of TGS 2026 Day 3.

They are expected to attend the Capcom booth to meet fans.

Rayman Legends Retold, announced among Ubisoft's Paris Games Week 2026 activities
Rayman Legends Retold is part of the Ubisoft activities announced for Paris Games Week 2026.

Ubisoft: Rainbow Six Siege, The Crew, Riders Republic, Just Dance and Rayman

Ubisoft is already among the publishers with several detailed activities.

Rainbow Six Siege

Rainbow Six Siege showmatches are set to bring together content creators, community members and visitors.

PGW mentions matches in:

  • 3v3;
  • 1v1.

The Crew Motorfest and Riders Republic

Public challenges are announced for:

  • The Crew Motorfest;
  • Riders Republic.

Just Dance

The main stage is also set to host activities around Just Dance Decades of Hits.

Rayman Legends Retold

PGW is also announcing 2v2 Kung Foot matches around Rayman Legends Retold. To put Rayman Legends Retold into the release calendar, our selection of anticipated October games provides further context.

Members of Ubisoft studios are expected to appear on stage to present Rayman Legends Retold, Rainbow Six Siege and Riders Republic in particular. Ubisoft context can also be revisited in our Gamescom 2026 guide.

Microids: meet the developers of Hela

PGW has also announced a meeting with the developers of Hela: of Mice & Magic at the Microids booth.

The meeting is presented as a first in France, and the game is currently scheduled for 1 December.

This kind of event illustrates one of the show's appealing dimensions: beyond playable stations, visitors can meet some of the teams making the games directly.

Esports and competitions at Paris Games Week 2026

Competition will feature in several forms.

Activities already confirmed include:

  • Street Fighter Academy for Street Fighter 6;
  • a Street Fighter League EMEAA 2026 watch party on Saturday 24 October;
  • Rainbow Six Siege showmatches;
  • challenges on The Crew Motorfest;
  • challenges on Riders Republic;
  • Kung Foot matches on Rayman Legends Retold;
  • Phase 2 of Project Blender, a VALORANT competition organised by Gozulting in the LAN & Open Gaming area;
  • the final of the Silver Geek Seniors Trophy in e-bowling, announced for Friday 23 October from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Hall 1 stage.

These final two events appear in official announcements published in early October. Check the detailed programme and times for each activity before visiting.

PGW Family: an area designed for families

Paris Games Week takes place during school holidays and retains a dedicated family area.

PGW Family is set to offer games, activities, meetings and educational workshops that allow parents and children to play together.

The announced selection spans several PEGI classifications, from games accessible to younger children to PEGI 12 titles such as Street Fighter 6 and Marvel Tōkon.

Parents should therefore still check each game's rating individually: a title's presence in the Family area does not necessarily mean it is suitable for every child.

Cosplayers, trading cards and pop-culture booths at Paris Games Week 2026
PGW 2026 also brings together cosplay, manga, trading cards, figurines and pop culture.

Cosplay, manga and trading cards

PGW has long gone beyond games on screens alone.

The PGW Pop Culture area will be dedicated in particular to manga and cosplay.

Cosplay

Workshops are set to introduce different costume-making techniques, including:

  • sewing;
  • leatherworking;
  • 3D printing;
  • different accessory-making methods.

A cosplay competition is planned for Saturday. PGW is announcing three prizes with a total value of €1,750, along with a trophy specially designed for the event.

Gala TCG

Trading cards will also have a major dedicated space.

The Gala TCG powered by Asmodee is set to occupy around 3,000 m² and bring together players, collectors, artists, shops, grading companies, publishers and specialist brands.

Illustrators Masakazu Fukuda and Kouki Saitou are among the artists announced.

PGW Pop Market: figurines, creations and merchandise

The PGW Pop Market is designed as a pop-culture marketplace.

It is set to host:

  • independent creators;
  • craft makers;
  • illustrators;
  • specialist shops;
  • figurines;
  • accessories;
  • clothing;
  • games and collectibles.

→ Discover the PGW Pop Market

Meet & Greet: meet creators and artists

A PGW Meet & Greet area will also be dedicated to meetings between attendees and various talents from gaming and pop culture.

The organiser specifically mentions content creators, illustrators, authors and personalities from imaginative worlds.

The detailed guest programme still needs to be completed.

→ Follow PGW Meet & Greet announcements

  • Premium ticket holders;
  • PRM / disabled visitors;
  • Business professionals;
  • cosplayers.

→ View official PGW access information

Bags, suitcases and security: watch the size limits

PGW recommends travelling light.

Under the Vigipirate security plan, checks are planned at entrances and large bags are prohibited.

This applies to bags:

  • over 20 litres;
  • or with dimensions exceeding 40 × 20 × 25 cm.

Paid cloakrooms are expected to be available inside the show.

If you plan to buy several items or pieces of merchandise, make sure to check the rules before arriving with a large backpack.

Accessibility for PRM and disabled visitors

  • a team able to welcome visitors in French Sign Language.

For a specific situation, it is best to consult the FAQ or contact the organisers before travelling.

Which day should you choose to visit Paris Games Week 2026?

It is still too early to objectively identify the “best” day, as the complete programme for each stage has not yet been published.

However, a few differences are already known.

Thursday 22 October

Thursday is the opening day.

Ryozo Tsujimoto and Takuro Hiraoka are announced at Capcom, while the Curieux.exe evening begins at 8 p.m. at the Dôme.

Friday 23 October

The Monster Hunter meetings are also announced for Friday. PGW Business continues all day, and Game of Rôles takes over at the Dôme at 8 p.m.

Saturday 24 October

Saturday will notably host the Street Fighter League EMEAA 2026 watch party.

The cosplay competition is also planned for Saturday, as is the third Dôme evening, whose content remains secret for now.

Sunday 25 October

Sunday is the show's final day.

No fourth Dôme evening is currently announced after closing.

The final choice will mainly depend on the games, guests and activities specified in the days leading up to opening.

Practical tips for planning your visit

To make the most of Paris Games Week, plan a flexible route rather than trying to see everything. Here are the most useful checks to make before leaving:

  • Choose your priorities: identify the games, stages and meetings you do not want to miss, then leave time for discoveries on site.
  • Check the programme on the day: stage times, guests and activities may change. Official pages remain the reference in the event of changes.
  • Plan for Dôme evenings: the events on 22, 23 and 24 October have dedicated ticketing; check entry terms before buying tickets.
  • Prepare your phone: keep your ticket accessible and check information in the official app, especially for the Playground Edition route.
  • Budget for the full trip: in addition to admission, include transport, meals, potential purchases and, if attending, a separate ticket for a Dôme evening. On-site spending depends on individual choices.
  • Travel light: check bag rules and entry conditions before leaving home.
  • With children, prepare a game selection appropriate for their age by checking PEGI ratings, including in the Family area.

For travel, also check for any transport disruptions before departing: online practical information can change as the show approaches.

Should you go to Paris Games Week 2026?

On paper, this 15th edition is clearly aiming to go beyond the classic trade-show model of major booths and demo stations alone.

The Playground Edition adds a gaming layer to the visit itself, while the programme extends to retrogaming, independent games, French game development, TCG, cosplay, training, developer meetings and Dôme evenings.

The nearly 400 m² Video Game Museum, the Game France Pavilion, anniversaries for Zelda, Metroid, Pokémon, Sonic and Animal Crossing, and the announced presence of several developers should also make the event more appealing to visitors who are not coming solely to try the latest blockbusters. To compare it with the previous event atmosphere, also see our PGW 2025 Halloween guide.

The programme should still be followed through to opening, especially for playable games and schedule details. Confirmed announcements are grouped in the themed sections above.
